Mad Cow Company

The Mad Cow Company’s products are inspired by the beautiful imperfections created from the passage of time. We add the look of the rust, peeling paint, tarnish and patina created from the years of baking in the desert sun to all of our pieces. The colors of old Mexico, the feeling of the nomadic lifestyle spent chasing the rodeo trail, and the classic style of old Indian pawn jewelry are all the things that inspire the look and feel of Mad Cow. “Handcrafted for the individual who wants to stand out from the herd” has been our catch phrase since the beginning and we strive to bring that to every piece that passes through our hands.

The Mad Cow Company is located in the backyard bunkhouse shop in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Patrick and Amy Smith are the makers of Mad Cow since 2006.

JL Custom Leather and Beadwork

Jay and Karlee Long of Vale Oregon. Jay started doing leather work back in high-school mainly making tack he could use to cowboy. He and Karlee married in 2012 and Karlee began to do beadwork in 2015. She had to start doing her own leather work not long after because Jay didn’t have the time. Now together they have built JL Custom Leather. They also work for Karlees dad on his ranch and run some of their own cows.

Grand View Pottery

Each piece is individually thrown on the wheel or constructed from a slab. I use hand mixed glazes that are food safe and can handle a ride in the dishwasher or microwave for convenience. I prefer my pots to be able to be in hands, on tables, or sitting dirty in the sink rather than tucked up in a cupboard or on display having people afraid to use them. The love of the mid-western lifestyle I was blessed to be raised in, and the love of my home state, Montana, carry strongly in my work. Community, friends and family are dear to me and often a piece is inspired or spurred on by them. The Lord has wired each one of us differently. I find great joy in being a maker. From throwing to individually pulling a handle the lovely adventure of clay holds me captive. I desire that my pieces might be ambassadors of that joy, bringing bits of happiness into others daily lives and routines.

Sassy Southern Leather (Custom Purses, Jewelry, Watch bands, & more!)

I love to work with leather in many different capacities and I am STILL learning every day! I started my Sassy Southern Leather business in 2018 right after I found out I had breast cancer – I needed something to keep me busy since I had to stay at home the majority of the time. I have been cleared so far – and still going strong! I make purses, jewelry, wallets, tooled leather cap patches, watch bands, cuffs and make Boot Bling Beauties! I love to create and I love to watch people light up when they love what I have done for them. Everything I do is handmade by me and Made in the USA!
